Survey Time!
How far along?: 18 weeks
Total weight gain: 15 lbs (going off pre-Clomid weight)
How big is baby?: The size of a Sweet Potato!
Maternity clothes?: Yep! Maternity pants, shorts, capris, skirts and some of my looser skirts and capris and my PINK yoga pants
Stretch marks?: I have not yet noticed any...but I am keeping up with my Palmer's Cocoa Butter to make sure.
Sleep?: It comes in fits. I have only had to get up once per a night for a bathroom break, but I keep rolling and waking up uncomfortable. Thankfully, I am on a reduced work schedule now, so I can squeeze naps in sometimes.
Best moment this week?: Feeling movement, but still not 100% sure, and getting over this stupid cold/sinus infection.
Movement?: Yes, light flutters.
Labor signs?: No, thankfully...keep those away for a long time.
Belly button in or out?: Still Innie, but getting shallower :(
What I miss: Being able to fit into some of my clothes, eating certain foods
What I'm looking forward to: Bowling finals on Sunday, Anatomy ultrasound on Tuesday, driving to see my mom for a long weekend on Thursday, seeing some friends next weekend and getting free time to express my creativeness.
Milestone: Making it another week without any major complications and feeling good!

Is it bad of me?

While we should be saving money and watching our "excess" spending, I so want to go to the spa and get pampered a bit. And I so want Hubby to *choose" to do this for me, but I feel guilty asking for anything of this sort, given the fact he has been busting his bum to get the nursery organized and cleaned. He has already painted the walls and ripped out the carpeting and installed wood flooring and now he is getting organized to help me decorate and do some DIY projects for the nursery.

Well, for now I will just make a list of the packages he could choose if he was so inclined:

Update....

So we had another OB appointment this past week. Everything is going good...baby G is doing well still...we had another doppler and heard the heartbeat again. It was in the 130-140 range, so nice and strong. I also had the normal tests and they took more blood for a Pentas test. Our next ultrasound is scheduled for the week before we go to my mom's for Mother's Day (2 weeks away) and hopefully Baby G cooperates and we can determine the sex. We plan to announce the pregnancy and the baby's sex on Mother's Day, so it should be interesting.

In non-baby news, teaching is through for 2 weeks.I gave final exams this past week and now have 2 weeks off before coming back to teach 6 LONG weeks of Summer 1 session. After that I am done! (well until the Fall as long as things go as planned). We are also working on setting up all our Baby classes for during the summer, so that should be interesting, although Hubby is super uninterested in that all.

17 weeks and sailing smooth

Real quick post to update on development. We had our OB appointment on Tuesday. Baby G sounds good on the doppler still...heartbeat was in the 130-140 range. I am having no other side effects or symptoms, other than a head cold which is likely due to my seasonal allergies. We had the normal pee test, and blood pressure check at the office as well and then they did a Penta blood scan to rule out a majority of the chromosomal abnormality diseases (cleft palate, missing limb, etc.). Then they scheduled my "big" ultrasound for May 4th (right before we visit my mom for Mother's Day). As long as the baby cooperates, we will know the sex then. Next followup appointment with the OB is 2 weeks after that.

Things in the house are doing good. Hubby has been diligently working on the kitchen and got the first wall of cabinets up. By doing that we were able to clear out a lot of the guest bedroom storage of tupperware, and wedding gifts since we finally have cabinet space in the kitchen. We also freed up a lot of counter space. He is taking a break from the kitchen to now focus on the nursery and any other small project around the house (touch-up painting spots, replacing old trim/baseboards, etc.). Painting in the nursery is complete. He also was able to get up all of the molding around the ceiling and it all looks great. Pictures to come in a later post.

Grad school is going well. I feel swamped, but the weekends is always when I get caught up. Work at the lab is busy right now because we are in the middle of a project, but it is work and still looking forward to a break. Teaching is coming to an end. This week is finals week, so I am done after tomorrow! Two weeks to relax and breathe and then back for 6 weeks of teaching Summer 1 session.

Here is Baby G's report for the week:

Week 15: Supposedly the Honeymoon Stage

Our next doctor's appointment is 2 weeks from yesterday. Things are going well. We spent part of the weekend with the in-laws in the Keys and then just had a lazy Sunday and Easter dinner with the in-laws and a close friend. Hubby started painting the nursery this week (started Monday evening and will hopefully finish tomorrow or Friday). I will post progress pictures as they come. It is definitely a work in progress but hopefully going to be awesome. We ordered our crib and dresser on Monday which also came with a changing pad and mattress and all the converting kits. I expect to take delivery in July. Hopefully this weekend Hubby will finish repairing his ceiling patch job and maybe start the first stage of the kitchen. We have agreed to do the kitchen in 3 sections, and we ordered the cabinets yesterday, so this weekend he may start demoing the old cabinets and organizing for the first wall of cabinets and move appliances. The second stage will probably not happen until October/November given everything else planned for this summer. I need to post some belly shots, but I keep forgetting. Soon, promise!
